Lara and James decided to host a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony at woodsy wedding Venue, Warfield House Inn. The celebrations then continued in a stunning covered pavillion which was lovingly decorated with a neutral colour palette. Dreamlove Photography tells us all about their special day…

“Nestled in the mountains of western MA, this woodsy venue is perfect for outdoor weddings. Lara and James couldn’t have picked a better place to tie the knot. These two couldn’t stop smiling throughout the day, and the emotional ceremony photos whilst reading their vows are some of our favourites. Lara had some awesome ideas for decorating the covered pavillion reception spot. With neutral colors and antique store finds, this reception had a very Anthropologie vibe! We loved the little magnetic ceramic animals used to hold up the reception table cards. Lara also found antique milk bottles that were used for simple organic floral centrepieces.

Guests were treated to wood-fired pizzas by Vesta Mobile Pizza for dinner, and there were stunning views of the Berkshire mountains throughout the day.The property is actually a working farm with cows, horses, and even alpacas! There are several barns on the property, and two country farm houses where guests can stay overnight. This venue is part of the Berkshire East Ski Resort. Guests can have adventures like white water rafting, zip lining or even doing a mountain coaster while in town for the wedding!”

Bride Lara says…

“James and I met in our freshman year in college at the University of Connecticut, hiking in the woods! James proposed to me one night during a snow storm in New Haven, CT in front of a lit Christmas tree on the New Haven Green. It was cold and snowy but so romantic and serene as there was not a soul in sight in an otherwise populated area of New Haven and I love the snow. After the shock subsided, James told me the ring was his late grandmother’s and I was so touched that I started crying all over again 🙂 Pinterest was a godsend in helping me hone in on my vision and for providing endless inspiration! Be sure toEnlist friends and family to help with crafting. Plan one aspect at a time as my ideas often evolved as each piece came together. We were SO thankful for Amazon Prime for all of my last-minute purchases. Have fun with it but don’t sacrifice your vision just because it seems complicated – you only get one day to fulfill all of your wedding wants and wishes, so don’t be afraid to go big! My favourite thing about the day… that’s tough! It was such a magical day! I’d have to say the venue, we had the whole piece of the mountain to ourselves and we couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather or a more beautiful backdrop for our special day.”

Many thanks to Dreamlove Photography for sharing James and Lara’s beautiful woodsy wedding with us. We adored the neutral colour palette and the fact that the farm had alpacas!! One day we’re going to own our own venue with them…watch this space!

Much love
