We have absolutely fallen for todays elopement shoot set in the most magical location of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The natural beauty of the setting really does speak for itself and really does allow all of the other elements in this piece to sing. Model Erin goes on to describe the story behind this beautiful tale shot by Leah Daniels Photography.

Erin says…

“Inspired by the beauty found in the natural diversity of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation area, we hoped to capture the wild, sometimes wreckless abandonment of the area. We drew inspiration from the parks elements: marble finishing to echo the towering rocky ledges, a rippling cake to capture the movement of the Delaware river, teak sculpture and branches to honor the sturdiness of the wood and commitment, and sourced local seasonal flowers to emphasise the ambudance of the region.

Instead of reading traditional vows we chose to read Rumi’s poem, When I am with you, combining the quest for love with the pairing of juxtaposing natural elements. As we wandered throughout the park nature supported our vision, providing us with a natural ceremony arch, mossy perches for details and a lush covering of greenery. As the sun set and our adventure drew to a close, we hoped that our vision would remind locals that adventure is just within reach and would also encourage travelling couples to consider including the Delaware Water Gap in their next plan for adventure.”

We would like to thank everybody involved in this shoot. We are absolutely in love with the detail we’ve seen. We can’t wait to visit the Water Gap next time we’re on the other side of the pond!

Much love

Emily xx
