The idea for this wedding shoot sprouted from my local coastline. Living in Wales I’m lucky enough to have a beach on my doorstep. I’ve always been an ocean enthusiast and with that comes a true love for the shore. With the tall, overgrown grass covering the sand dunes, the hills peaking through in to the back drops and the pebble dashed, sun soaked, quiet beach. This place is the definition of everything I love most about my home, there was no other place for this photoshoot other than North Wales.
Ever since I started photographing weddings, it has always been a goal of mine to shoot a bohemian festival styled wedding. The bridal bouquet was the centre point for the styling. When I saw these blooms, everything else fell in to place. The large silk flowers mixed with foliage from the forest we’re the perfect start and sent my mind racing.
Our adept make up artist, Lillie at Lillie Leanne Artistry, knew exactly what to do to accentuate all of the models features. After seeing the accessory colours, she matched the bridal look perfectly, whilst adding a bit of festival love with glitter for the evening shoot.
The wedding breakfast was set up close by in a secret garden. The flower arrangements and shimmering candle holders kept the romantic theme whilst the hand painted tableware, gold cutlery and hand written table names on leaves added to the outdoor festival feel. The wedding stationary was all created by Simply You Designs specifically for this photoshoot, Chloe listened to the feel I was going for and matched it so perfectly. It all tied together without her seeing anything else.
I want to inspire couples to have a wedding day that truly represents them. I planned and created this wedding styled shoot for all of you barefoot beach lovers, chimerical Coachella daydreamers and welly wearing woodland wanderers. Whatever it is that makes you and your partner tick, you should base your day around it because in the end, your wedding day should be about you two, always.
