I really cannot get enough of the gorgeous backdrop that the North Yorkshire countryside creates. Each and every time I receive images from that part of the world I am  in awe!  Moody skies and rolling hills are the setting for this amazing same sex elopement wedding shoot which has been designed and shot by Emma Ryan Photography.

Emma writes..

“I had an idea to create something with an elopement theme to showcase our beautiful North Yorkshire Moor, almost a Yorkshire runaway bride!

I immediately thought that Bexbrides would be the perfect choice for the relaxed, bohemian bride look I wanted to achieve with the dresses and Bex was of course up for anything a little different!

Within two weeks I had pulled together all the listed suppliers and off onto the moor we headed in the ice cold winds. Kiera and Steffi – who believe it or not are not a real couple but best friends – did an absolutely sterling job of modelling for us. Their chemistry as best friends in my opinion absolutely made the emotion in images as true as a real wedding or real couple.”

The rings…

The Molten Wedding Ring Company rings were originally created in a studio set on Dartmoor. The ancient landscape is reflected in the rings with their undulating shapes and raw beauty. They were an ideal match for a shoot with a wild and free feel set on the Yorkshire moorland.

What the girls wore…

Bex Lombard from BexBrides tell us some more about what the couple wore..

“Stefi wore a satin bias cut slip dress, with our “Rowan” gown, which is a burnt out organza, fringed wrap around dress with beautiful long sleeves. This was teamed with a copper braid and velvet buckle belt. On the moors for warmth she wore “Moonlight” a fringed velvet cape wrap.

Kiera wore a chiffon 1990s gown that had been upcycled with the addition of some contemporary guipure lace applique. This was teamed with our “Twilight” over skirt in spotted tulle. and a “Rhianna” veil cape in guipure lace. we also could not resist trying out a new crop lace jacket with fringing. The bird’s earrings and necklace, and long diamante necklace were also provided by Bexbrides.”

With thanks to all of the wonderful suppliers involved in this shoot.

Much Love

Emily xx
